


sys files usually contain configuration information for a variety of different hardware options, including which drivers need to be loaded. They are very small files and needed for a multitude of operations in Windows. Many different software packages and hardware devices use the same dynamic link libraries (dll) and configuration files (.sys) scattered throughout the \windows\system32 folder(s). That's why I said it is " not recommended" to delete those files before I explained how to remove them.
